Entities are graphical objects in CAD. AutoCAD provides you with some simple commands that allow you modify objects that have been already created in AutoCAD. Through this chapter you may get an insight about these commands.
The chapters included in this section are:
The copy command allows you to duplicate a particular object that has been drawn with the same dimensions and properties.
This command allows you to move an object from its original position to the required position, without the need to redraw the object at the new position.
The rotate command allows you to rotate the object at a required angle with respect to other objects present in the drawing.
The scale option allows you to increase or decrease the size of an object while retaining the original object or scaling the original object.
The offset command allows you to create offsets or similar objects around the original object such as concentric circle, etc.
These commands allow you to delete the unwanted objects within or outside a particular boundary while working on a drawing without erasing individual objects.
This command allows you to convert the intersection of two lines in a smooth curve such as an arc, ellipse, etc. of any specified radius.
This command allows you to extend an object such as a line or an arc to a predefined length or to a selected object at a particular distance.
This command allows you to create mirror images of the selected objects without using the copy option or having to create the whole object again.
This command allows you to move the edges of the selected object from one coordinate to another without much hassle.
This command creates multiple copies of objects in Rectangular or Polar patterns.
This command allows you to break a selected object into multiple parts as per your requirement.
This command allows you to change properties of the selected object.
These set of command control the properties of the object, the layer, etc of the drawing. It makes editing drawing easier.
